I have the latest version of Classic Shell (3.6.8) and find that the Show Desktop link which normally shows my desktop by "minimizing" currently open windows no longer works.
Does anybody else have this problem. I am running Windows 8 Pro. Thanks.

The little button on the far right of yoru screen?
do you have display fusion or 7+taskbar tweaker installed, I know those 2 programs have options to affect this behavior, Classic shell doesn't touch it though

Classic Shell does not affect "Show Desktop/Aero Peek" functionality in any way. Are you clicking on the Show Desktop link or simply hovering over it? Right click on the Show Desktop/Aero Peek button and make sure "Peek at desktop" is checked. Also does Win+D work?

I get the Aero peek/Show desktop functionality when I hover over the right bottom of the screen or use Win+m
The link/button that used to achieve the same result, which shows as a little monitor and says Show Desktop, is not working anymore.
If it is not a Classic Shell issue is there a way to get that functionality back for the button? Searching on Win8 Help provided no useful results.
Thanks

I think you are talking about the icon in the Quick Launch toolbar.
What I would do is to log in as another user and see if it works there. If so, I would copy the shortcut from that user.
