Hi!

I'm having some trouble disabling my login screen background in Windows 10 (another similar tutorial) and I was wondering if maybe Classic Shell (4.2.4) could be the cause of it?

Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System]
"DisableLogonBackgroundImage"=dword:00000001

The only other modification I've made to my Windows is RibbonDisabler.

Thanks!

It is unlikely, because no part of Classic Shell runs before you log in.
But if you are not sure, you can of course uninstall Classic Shell and try again. All your settings will be preserved if you choose to install Classic Shell again.

It isnt likely that either is the culprit, are you trying to do it manually or with the provided key?

Hi!

Thanks a lot for the reply guys!

It appears the reason is that I've disabled automatic updates, and disabling the login screen background image is something only available to recent updates.

Big ups to the RibbonDisabler author for helping me get to the bottom of this.

Cheers!
