My hard drive crashed recently and obviously had to start from scratch. In the older version the context menu for All Programs was quite a bit wider (about twice as wide as now) and the font was larger. I have it set to the XP style.

In this version (4.1.0) it's far too skinny and the font is too small. I can't figure out how to widen it and enlarge the font.

How do I fix this problem?

I assume you talk about the All Programs sub-menu, not the context menu (the context menu is implemented by the OS).
Is it possible your system was set to larger DPI setting? That would make all fonts bigger.

I don't remember about the DPI settings from before the hard drive crash, but I checked with my friend's PC that I set up quite some time ago. The installed version is 3.6.7. His DPI is set the same as mine right now which is the default Windows 7 setting and his Classic Shell All Programs sub-menu is quite a bit wider than mine with the exact same font.

It appears a change was made with the new version. I guess I'll have to try to find a way to install the older version if that's possible.

I've tried just about everything other than installing an older version. Is there a way to manually make the column wider? It won't get any wider than the default setting.

I changed it to 10 via Menu Look tab and it got really thin. Once I changed it to 50, it went to back the default size. I was hoping that after adding higher numbers that it would get as wide as I want but no luck.

I am not sure which part you want to make wider. Can you show a screenshot?

I just happened to run across this thread that shows it. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3404 That is the part I'm talking about. I guess it's called the sub menu. It's what pops up when I place the cursor on All Programs. It used to be wider than it is now and I can't figure out to have it as wide as it was before.

Most skins have a "Large Font" setting. Try turning it on.

I do have it enabled. I tried the few different default skins available. After trying them out, I think the font enlarged slightly but the columns didn't widen.

That's the largest it's eve been, aside from using a different system DPI.
