Why I can't use more than 20 last used programs? There are settings for more than 20, but in startmenu I never can see more than 20.

The Start Menu is limited for 20 frequent programs for performance reasons. It also assumes you might be reserving some space for pinned programs. The Windows 7 Start Menu had a limit of 30 frequent programs.

No, the limit is fixed to 20 in the code itself. There is no registry override.

Starting with Classic Shell 4.2.5, the limit for recent/frequent apps is raised to 40.
