Reduced glass in startmenu looks awesome
Why is there nothing like that for taskbar, would look good and unifying.
I know about disabling transparency, but I would rather just darken and reduce it than turn it completely off

The taskbar is not part of Classic Shell. I do not have control over the precise image that it uses. All I can do externally is to disable its transparency.
You may look into modifying taskbar image stored in the Aero theme and control the alpha channel from there.

You can change the Taskbar color from Control Panel -> Personalization -> Color and Appearance. If you show the color mixer and reduce the brightness, it will look just like the Start Menu with reduced color option (although unfortunately, it makes the title bar text unreadable in Windows 8/8.1 due to lack of glow).

yeah, I tried that, the border color of windows is affected as well and I end up with non readable titles of windows as its black text on very dark background,
and theres no option for title text change... then theres googling and some regedit changing values but it does not work and to make it work it gets complicated in to downloading some tools and stuff...

There is a Windows 8 theme with the default look but white title bar text: http://winaero.com/blog/windows-8-defau ... itle-bars/ (although the window borders will still turn black if taskbar and title bar are black). You will have to install the free UxStyle (http://uxstyle.com/) before using any third party theme.
