After updating to version 4.0.4, Classic Shell keeps reminding me to update the program. As a test, I un-selected "Automatically check for new versions", but I still get the update reminders. (Win 8.1 Pro)

Have you restarted after you updated to 4.0.4? There may be some leftover pieces from 4.0.2 still running in memory until you restart.
If a restart doesn't help, download the Classic Shell Utility from here: http://www.classicshell.net/downloads/
Run it and send me the log file.

This problem is resolved:
Symptom: After update to version 4.0.4, program kept reminding me to update the program. Even after pc reboot and registry clean. Classic Shell support requested me to send a log file. They analyzed the log file and advised "

I see you have version 4.0.2 of ClassicExplorer64.dll and ClassicExplorerSettings.exe. Something must have gone wrong with the installation." 1) Go to the folder C:\Program Files\Classic Shell. Rename the file ClassicExplorer64.dll to _ClassicExplorer64.dll
2) Uninstall Classic Shell 4.0.4
3) Reboot the computer
4) Manually delete the folder C:\Program Files\Classic Shell

5) Install Classic Shell 4.0.4 again >>RESULT all is OK now. Also, I remember during the original upgrade, the install requested to close internet explorer before continuing. I did close IE, but perhaps clicked to fast on "try again" Excellent support from the developer!!!
