This feature was around since Windows 7. The context menu had a tool to create a new folder with currently selected files. The Windows version screws up sometimes in a devastating manor by crashing and actually losing the new folder and selected contents. I've had this happen a few times and it certainly would be nice if this feature would be available as a command to be added as an available command so it would just be a point and click affair and not bringing up the context menu and pray I didn't select too many files and crash. It's a head scratcher because I'm using Windows 10-64b, with 16Gb RAM, so it shouldn't be a memory issue.
