But it can't. Getting this error. Have tried turning UAC all the way to lowest setting, didn't help. I *AM* the administrator of the machine. If you have a work-around let me know, otherwise I'll roll back this Windows update. This pops up every time the machine is rebooted. Could it be related to the fact that I only have 7.95GB free space on the OS drive? I have more disc space on other drives, but not on the OS drive. Does it need to be on the OS drive to work? Windows updated to version 1909, no problems before that. Don't know what they screwed up, but it's Windows, so the answer is probably at least a quarter of the usefulness and usability.

Its not the limited size of your OS drive classic shell itself uses very little space. However I would recommend you try to clear more space on that drive. If its an SSD it will shorten the life of the drive to run at near capacity for extended times. If its a HDD it'l just need a frequent defrag

Its likely the version of windows just breaks classic shell compatibility, which sadly wont be fixed on our end. However You might have better luck with with classic shells sucessor Open shell (basically classic shell but with a few bug and compatibility fixes, I dont think they have added/removed any of the original features yet)

I don't know what update has caused your problem, Phaewryn.
I can guarantee that my Win 10 1909 is fully updated with the latest cumulative updates and ClassicShell works as always.

I just uninstalled it and reinstalled and it's fine now. I was worried I'd lose custom settings, but it seems I didn't have any as it's working the same as before. I even remembered what I had pinned to the start menu. I love this little program and would have been sorely inconvenienced if it had stopped working.
