I'm currently using Classic Shell 4.2.4 on Windows 7, with the Windows 7 style enabled.

On the right side of the menu, the items that I have available include "Computer" and "Control Panel". When I press the alt key, the first letter of "Control Panel" is underlined, which I assume indicates that pressing C will jump the selection to that item. However, pressing C instead moves the selection to "Computer".

I assume that this functionality is incorrect, and it should be jumping to "Control Panel" first?

If multiple items have the same accelerator, then instead of activating the item, the key jumps to the next item with that accelerator.

It's not jumping between them, it's just jumping to Computer and sitting there no matter how many times I press Alt-C. Computer doesn't have the accelerator underline, either.

Alt-R does immediately open Run, so that part of the functionality is working for me.

If the focus is in the search box when you open the menu, only the first time you need to press Alt+accelerator. The next time, press only C to take it to the next item with C. I know it's a bit confusing - having to use Alt sometimes and only the accelerator key at other times. I have always felt that it should be one consistent keystroke regardless of search box focus like F1, F2, ...., F12.

Okay, that does work.

The accelerator underlining still does seem weird. At least on my system, it looks like by default, only the Control Panel, Help and Support, and Run links get the underlining when you press Alt.

Only the explicit accelerators are underlined. Items without underlines use their first letter. That's how it works in the Windows 7 start menu.

Okay, I see. There just happens to not be any explicit accelerators that don't use the first letter, then, but if there were that letter would be highlighted instead.
