Hi,

... May I preface this post by saying how much I love Classic Start Menu! I've been using in for several years on many machines and have donated via PayPal in appreciation....

We're building a Windows 10 Enterprise 64 bit (build 10240) image for deployment to a group of identical laptops. The image contains Windows 10 Ent 64 bit, Office 2016 and the Adobe Creative Cloud as well as a few minor apps.

We've installed Classic Start Menu 4.2.4 and it's all good except that when we try to run any of the metro style apps (Calculator, Calendar, Camera, etc.) from the Classic Start Menu (CSM) they won't run. Running these apps from CSM produces errors in both the Applications and System event logs. Basically the apps try to start. They flash on to the screen briefly but then disappear.

When we built exactly the same image, but without CSM 4.2.4 (ie no classic start menu at all), all the metro style apps worked correctly.

I'm just wondering if anyone has come across this issue with the final release version of Windows Enterprise 64 bit and classic shell 4.2.4?

Have you tried starting apps from the Windows 10 start menu? Even if Classic Shell is installed, you can still access the original menu with Shift+click.
