I cannot seem to locate this inside the classic shell. So its either a serious omission or I am just missing something obvious.

but on Windows 10 almost everything is done inside the settings option - windows update checks most importantly.

But I cannot find a settings option on my start menu after installing classic shell.

Can you add this for Windows 10. If so how do you do it?

First, make sure you are using version 4.2.4. If you have not customized your menu items then PC Settings will automatically appear next to Control Panel.

Otherwise go to the Customize Menu Items tab in the settings, add a new item (usually the Insert key), and select PC Settings for its command. If you tell me if you are using a Classic style or Windows 7 style I can give you more detailed instructions how to do this.

Hi, Yes, sorry you are right.

I had 4.2.1 installed on my PC which I had installed on updating to Windows 10 a fortnight ago on the 29th July. I just noticed 4.2.4 was released on Sunday just gone fixing this.

Have installed it and the settings option is there as "PC Settings" in the list.
