Was wondering if there is a way to get rid of start screen for good. Guessing it is still running in the background, i want tot get rid of it for good. no way to start it, no way to ever see it again. no way for it to slow down my computer(cpu or memory). disable it for good, or is this start screen completely integrated???

No it is not possible to get rid of the Start screen without also disabling all other Metro UI functionality which is integral to Windows 8, such as the Networks pane or PC Settings app. Metro UI is an inseparable part of Explorer.exe and cannot be disabled.
