That top bar is called the Explorer Ribbon. Classic Shell cannot disable the Explorer Ribbon yet, but another freeware can disable it, called OldNewExplorer: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/170375- ... win78-one/

Hi,
I have installed Classic Shell is 4.1.0 on a few Windows 7 Enterprisex32 or x64 with success and i can see the Explorer Ribbon.
Now, on a Windows Starter Service Pack 1 the Explorer Ribbon isn't displayed a the option "Classic Explorer Bar" isn't selectable
(as you can see on the attached image)
Someone can me help?
Thanks very much !

GauravK THANKS VERY MUCH !!
Only with the point 1. Run all fine :-)

  1. Run Internet Explorer and go to Tools -> Manage Add-ons. Find "Classic Explorer Bar" and "ExplorerBHO Class" and make sure they are both Enabled.
