I have a Win7 high resolution screen 2880x1620 on a 15" display panel. I want to view this at 100% native (no magnification) so I can see more apps/windows on the desktop. The Start Menu icons (for Programs or All programs- the cascaded menu) are very small. I can't figure out how to change the cascaded menu icons. I tried a custom size in classicshell start menu settings, but this didn't effect the cascaded menus, only the Start Menu itself. Anyone have a way to increase the icon size for the cascaded menus?

Right click the Start button and click Settings. In the search box type: icon size. Change the Small icon size and Large icon size as required and click OK. Now exit the Start Menu by right clicking the Start button -> Exit. Start it again from C:\Program Files\Classic Shell\ClassicStartMenu.exe. The icons will be larger.

Thanks for the quick reply, but this only affects the icons in the start menu itself, not the folders/icons under the Start\Programs. It's the expanded Programs menu which doesn't change and appears very small.

The sub-menus use the "small icon size". The main menu can use the small or the large size depending on other settings.
If you want all icons to be bigger you need to change both sizes.

Thanks Ivo! I never thought about it that way and just assumed the small and large sizes applied only to the main start menu. But you were right, the small icon size is used in the cascading menus. Any chance you know how I can change the font size as well?

The font is part of the skin. Here's how you can edit skins: http://www.classicshell.net/tutorials/skintutorial.html
