Hello,

I have disabled the "themes" service on my windows 7 machine and decided to just use the clasxic theme. However it has some "bugs" in it, displayed below. Could the classic shell solve this problem for me? Does it require the service "themes" to be enabled? What about the memory usage of clasic shell compared to the default one on windows?

No Classic Shell is not about general theming or skinning of Windows. It is a suite containing a Start Menu, and IE & File Explorer addins. It does not replace the Explorer.exe shell or modify the system shell in any way other than adding a Start Menu and some addins.

You can find a custom theme/visual style on sites like Deviantart.com and will be able to use them after instaling a free app called UxStyle (www.uxstyle.com) which allows user-made themes not signed by Microsoft to be used.
