I installed Classic Start Menu 3.9.5 on Windows Server 2012. I selected the "Windows 7 Style" but made no other customizations. When I open the menu, it contains an element "<No Text>" between "Music" and "Recent Items". The hover text on the item is "Play and manage games on your computer." If I click the item, nothing happens.

I can go to the "Customize Start Menu" tab and set this item to "don't display this item". However, I think this should be done by default, rather than require every user to make this change.

The Games item is in the default menu layout because many people want it there.
Looks like it is missing on your computer, is that right?

Yes, the Games special folder is not there in Windows Server. It should be hidden from the default Customize tab list if Windows Server is detected.

Old post yes I know, but we have 2012 server, same thing, controlling settings via GPO ADMX, and games are removed on RDS, how do we hide this option?

Go to the Customize Start Menu tab in the settings. Find the line that says "Games" and either delete it, or switch it to "Don't display this item".
