There is a combined checkbox "Search programs and settings". You can't disable settings without disabling programs. You can reduce the number of the settings that are found if you uncheck "Search for keywords" because only settings have keywords.

I have 2 PCs that are configured in same exact way. One of them is a Windows 7 Professional DeskTop and the other is a Windows 7 Home Premium LapTop.

When doing a search on the DeskTop Settings appears in the results window. When I do the same search on the LapTop Settings does NOT appear.

Both computers are using the same configuration file (backup from LapTop imported into the DeskTop).

What version of Classic Shell are you using? Give me the exact number.

What is the word you are searching for and what do you expect to find? Is it possible that this setting is not available on the Home version?

I am searching for "context" and expect to find 5 programs, which I do find on both PCs, but the DeskTop also displays 3 Settings results. None of the names that appear in Settings contain the word "Context". It contains names like "Configuration Tools" & "Flle Type Doctor".

Disable searching for keywords and it should only find stuff with "context" in the name.

It worked - Thank you very much for your help. Of course I don't know why and really don't care why I did not have to do that on the LapTop.
