Hi all,
I'm using the Classic Start Menu app on a 2012R2 RDS farm and its far more simpler and easier to configure for our various users than what has been provided by the official channels.

I have a quick question, ideally we would like to use some of our corporate colors for the task bar and menu. I wish to control these via GPO, is it possible as i can not figure it out.

I have the colour number for Panatone, CMYK, RGB, HEX and RAL/3M

I can see i need to set the GPO options for Customise task bar, Menu Glass Colour and Taskbar color

Which skin of Start Menu are you using?

Thanks for getting back to me. Just using the Windows 8 skin with the Windows 7 style menu.
As it's on 2012R2 the default option is for a turquoise color.

I managed to work it out by using reg fixes.

What i would like to know now now is can we use classic start menu for standard users and metro for admins? all set via GPO?

That is a nice idea. Each user account can have his own setting but there isn't a way as of Classic Shell 4.3.0 to apply settings on user groups like Administrators, Standard users. So for every account, customize the skin either via Settings UI. Or if you use Group Policy, it can be used to apply Policies to specific groups: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/15 ... group.html
