When dragging an icon to move it, I get this huge tooltip-like icon. It obscures the Start Menu, making it hard to see what I'm doing. Here's an example:

... well, this interface displays no image, even though I've tried multiple ways to add one (copy and paste, use HTML address to link to file on drive, use Flickr link). But maybe as an attachment ...

Anyway, is there any way to get rid of that big icon?

Many thanks ...

Do you get the same kind of image when you move files in Explorer?

Something similar, at least -- for example, a large Adobe PDF icon. I guess this is a feature of Windows 10? I'm used to a classic type of Windows 7 installation.

Well, normally the icon is supposed to be transparent. You probably have disabled the transparency or have selected a non-transparent theme for your OS.

It's a newish installation. Haven't changed the theme. But it was an upgrade installation. It didn't bring in my Windows 7 theme, but maybe it brought in some aspects of that theme, or something.

My preference would be to just disable the icons, but maybe that's not an option.
