We use Classic Shell with 2 columns in the Start menu on Windows 7.
We want to use Alt-L for lock the session: Lock.label=&Lock
Unfortunately we have a folder "Local Applications" in the left column of the Start menu.

If the window button is pressed, the Start menu opens.
Thereafter, when the Alt- and L-Key is pressed, the lock is not executed, but the folder "Local applications" is opened.

What do we have to do, so that the folder "Local Applications" has no implicit Accelerator.

Thank you

If the item "Local Applications" is in the Frequent/Recent list, open Start Menu settings and in the search box at the top, type: shortcut. Change the setting "Shortcuts for the recent programs" to "Digits" or "Hidden digits".

If the item "Local Applications" is pinned to the Start Menu, right click and rename it to 1. Local Applications. Or put any other character before it which is not L e.g. ! or `

The "Local Applications" is not in the Frequent/Recent list and we cannot change the name of the directory "Local Applications".

Are there any alternative solutions? Can be a Accelarator specified explicitly for a directory?
BTW: & in the directory name does not generate a shortcut. The & is shown.

Could be the Windows key in combination with the L Key configured directly?

Custom accelerators by adding the ampersand character (&) is only supported for items added from the Customize Start Menu tab. It isn't supported for file system shortcuts. That's standard Windows behavior. What is the problem with renaming the directory by adding any unused character other than L before it? For any file or folder on the file system, the first character automatically becomes its accelerator key.

Or directly press Win+L instead of Alt+L to lock the session immediately bypassing the Start Menu.
