I know this change is quite 'odd' and quite fringe, but It should be easy enough to implement.
I'm looking for a way to push task-bar icons about 200 pixels further than the start button to the right. so I can implement a 'toolbar' via rainmeter.
I have tried creating a start button that is 250 pixels wide (50 for the button itself, and 200 transparent pixels on the right side) However apparently clicking transparent pixels still opens the menu (I seem to recall this was once not the case, though that may have been related to windows 8)

Basically I was hoping for an option to 'ignore' fully transparent pixels, thus allowing my workaround to work :)
Alternatively/preferably If its easy to implement, a setting (registry key) that can define the taskbar icon offset. would be even better.
