Is there a way, using Classic Shell, to run "Start Screen" apps (aka "Metro Apps") on the desktop? That is, Metro apps (on the desktop) that could be windowed, resized, etc. instead of having to run a single app full screen on the start screen.

There are 2.. both paid solutions
1. displayfusion (20$ for a steam license); It has a host of other cool features, and is well worth the price, especially if you have multiple monitors
or
2. ModernMix (5$); which gets the job done quite nicely, and is only 5$

Hi Jcee,
thanks
Any chance to have these features implemented in Classic Shell? I read in the italian magazine PC PROFESSIONALE that Start Menu Reviver 3 should implement this feature

I dont think Ivo has any plans to include it, however it should be noted that windows 10 has the ability built in, and it should be a free upgrade for anyone with windows 7/8 or 8.1 within the first year
