Is the Classic Shell available for Win 8 Smartphones?
How do you delete items on-screen on Win 8 Smartphones, e.g. using a Nokia Lumia Icon and you have the standard turn-on display of Win 8, and you see NETFLIX app. .... on my desktop I right click and deleted it even before I opened it...how do you do that on a smartphone?

No, Classic Shell is only available on devices running full version of Windows.
Try pressing and holding the icon on the start screen and see if you can unpin it.
