Hi guys, new to classic shell.

I like a VERY minimalist start menu, and classic shell fits the requirements just nicely. However one thing is driving me absolutely nuts, and I cant find a setting to stop it. Namely, every time I open the shell settings, or an office doc, or any document, the bloody thing appears at the top of my start menu. How do I stop that from happening?

BTW widows 7, in case that matters.

Cheers

Bruce

Can you show a screenshot where exactly do the documents appear?

It's right at the top of the start menu. If I open the classic shell settings (explorer or start menu), a link appears. If I open office word, a link appears. I can get rid of them by clearing recent items list.....until the next document, when the list starts again.

Cheers

That's different. Those are programs, not documents.
Change the setting "Show recent or frequent programs" to "Don't show".
