Currently I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, IE9, and Classic Shell 3.5.6. I may want to upgrade to IE10. Do I need to uninstall Classic Shell, do the upgrade to IE10, then install Classic Shell again? Or can I just upgrade to IE10 without messing up the existing Classic Shell or IE10?
I apologize if this information is on the site somewhere. I was unable to find it.

I would appreciate any help on this. Also, if there's a good reason NOT to go to IE10 under Win7-64, I'd like to hear about it.

No, there is no problem using IE10 with Classic Shell. Classic IE9 means that it will work with IE9 or greater :) ! You can safely upgrade to IE10. FYI: I am running IE11 without problems!

But you should consider to upgrade to a newer version of Classic Shell. I am currently running 3.9.5 RC on Windows 8.1, no problems so far!

You can upgrade without uninstalling as the IE addons work with IE9+. If after upgrading they don't work, then re-enable them again from Internet Options -> Manage Addons. You may lose your saved tabs/loaded pages in IE during the upgrade.
