In Windows Explorer, there is a large expanse of unused Title Bar space at the top of the window between the left-side title bar icon and the Minimize/Maximize/Close right-side button triad. I recall seeing somewhere a skin which lopped off the top of Explorer windows, and shrunk down everything removed so it all fit on the same line with the Address Bar and Search Window.

Did I see this here? Did I see it elsewhere (e.g. Stardock)? Or did I dream it?

O have not seen this. Classic Explorer has no such feature, just settings to enable or disable the icon and the text.
