Hi guys,

I would like to see "lines" in Explorer, but it's not possible. In a rather old posting (2010-07-05) of Ivo I read "BTW, other features like XP classic mode (that shows lines in the tree) ..." So I tried this out (although it's called "Windows XP Simple" in my version), but there are no lines. Any chance to get them?

I'm using Win 10 home, 64bit.

Thanks for all your help

Alf

Microsoft broke this feature in Explorer for Windows 10 and it is not possible to get them.

Thanks, Gaurav, for your answer. Although I find it's content most dissatisfactory. Why does Micro$oft make such things? OK, maybe it's not "modern" anymore, but should the user not have the choice, what she/he wants?

My urge, to change to another OS gets stronger and stronger.

Windows 10 is not mandatory. Personally I reverted to Windows 8.1 with Classic Shell. Windows 10 is extremely unpleasant to use and it abuses my internet connection with 500 MB forced updates every month.

Of course, it isn't. But in future, there will be no (security-)updates for older Windows-versions. And then? As I said, I better look for another OS ...

Thanks again and greetings from Germany
