Hi there, is there a way to make exlporer open search results always in detail view? Mine opens sometimes in 'content' view. Thanks! |

Once you open them, change the view to Details and close it, it should save the view. Mine does at least. I am talking about the window that opens when you click "See more results" from the Classic Start Menu. |

Thanks. I was referring to the new window opened through Classic explorer, not Start menu. Tried that, btw., but seems to sometimes keep coming back in wrong view. |

Classic Explorer is only a plugin for Windows Explorer. It does not modify search in any way. To permanently set Explorer views, see this article: http://winaero.com/blog/how-to-set-a-fo ... rge-icons/ |

Great, never knew that! Since you seem to know a lot about Win10: after search for a file or folder in the explorer, the results are listed. But if you click on eg. a map, the map is not opened directly, but stil in the 'result-mode' (I don't see the path but stil 'search results'). Annoying. Is there a way to make Windows open the folder directly? Start menu does indeed open a folder directly. Of course I can right click and choose 'open in new window', but that's annoying. Thanks. |
