Is it possible to enable the older explorer feature where you could also collapse view items by single clicking on them? It latest windows version where it was working was 2003 server. In it, it also automatically collapses other items when you single click to expand the new one. Getting this feature working in classic shell would be kick ass! And I could finally stop maintaining a win2003 instance in a virtual machine. I tested the simple XP mode feature and the single click open it provides gets me halfway there. |

Open Classic Explorer Settings and set the Navigation Pane style to 'Windows XP Simple'. Click OK and reopen the Explorer window. Then you will get the behavior you described. |
