Is there a way to add "Navigation Pane" button (folder pane) to Classic Shell Explorer customizable menu so that I can open and close Navigation Pane with one button (just like Preview Pane)?

Unfortunately, Microsoft removed this ability in Vista. They no longer allow third party program toolbars to toggle the navigation pane in Explorer.

At most, you can use Winaero's Explorer Toolbar Editor to add a button to toggle navigation pane to the built-in Explorer command bar: http://winaero.com/comment.php?comment.news.16

Thanks a lot! Not a perfect solution, but better than nothing.

Good news. The latest Classic Shell 4.0.6 has a built-in button now to toggle the folder/navigation pane as well as the Details pane and the preview pane.

I love this new button!!! Thank you guys!!!

I create a custom icon file for Navigation Pane (XP-Style!) 32x32 pixel, and i want to share it with you!

You can use this on your home, or on any FREEWARE apps-software that you create.
You CANNOT use this for any apps-software that the people must pay for that.
