 The task bar of my CLASSIC EXPLORER, when I use WINDOWS LIVE MAIL maximized, does not stay on top; either, when I attempt to reduce the window to médium size, it does not obey. So, to click a button on the task bar I need to minimize the whole window:cry:

To attach a screenshot you need to go to the "Full Editor". Then there will be a section "Upload attachment" under the text field.

OK, The taskbar is not part of Classic Explorer. Classic Explorer adds a toolbar to the Windows Explorer windows.

Do you have your taskbar set to auto-hide? Does it hide when you maximize another application, like Explorer?

if its auto-hiding you should be able to get it to pop up by moving your mouse to the very bottom of the screen for a second

to remove autohide: right click the taskbar, select properties, and uncheck "auto-hide" if its checked

if this doesnt work, then its likely another program interfering with the taskbar in some way..

give us a list of any programs you think might change the taskbar (anything that modifies the theme, adds functionality to windows, ect), and ill see if any of them pop out

Remarks: my OS is Widows8; I have installed Classic Shell on W8; W8 has no taskbar; the taskbar appeared on the desktop provided by Classic Shell, so, I believe, it must do part of it; to me Classic Explorer and Classic Shell are the same thing; taskbar is set to auto hide; it hides when I maximize InternetExplorer and unhide afterwards when I pass the mouse on the botton border; when I open LiveMail it opens in médium size and the taskbar is hidden; while the LiveMail is in médium size, the taskbar hides and unhides; when I maximize LiveMail, the taskbar refuses to unhide

windows 8 has a taskbar; windows 8 has no START BUTTON

asfor the taskbar not unhiding, thats a windows bug :P, it should occur with or without classic shell installed

The problem is unlikely to be related to Classic Shell, especially if it only occurs with some programs and not others. Uninstall Classic Shell and see if the problem persists.

No, that's the charms bar. The taskbar is the thing at the bottom that has a button for each running program. That's where the Classic Shell's start button goes. It's been there since Windows 95.
