I've notice blurry fonts in many applications (e.g. Chrome) post upgrading to Windows 8.1. The fix with these is to right click the app shortcut and under Properties, Compatibility check 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings'. The same is happening with Classic Shell Explorer and I can't find where to make this change. Is there a fix available? |

There is no such thing as "Classic Shell Explorer": http://classicshell.net/faq/#general_whatnot To my knowledge this will happen if an application is not marked as compatible with non-standard DPI. Then Windows will try to scale the entire window instead of using a larger font, causing blurry text. This is common for old programs from before Vista. |

Go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display check the [Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays] box check the [Smaller - 100%]s box no need to fix other applications . . |
