Post subject:  Windows 7 status bar question

Hi,

My Windows Explorer, on Windows 7 with Classic Shell installed, looks like the picture below. I'd like to get rid of the horrible bit at the bottom, which says Downloads Date modified: 18/09/2013 15:33, File folder, while keeping the proper status bar at the bottom of the window.

I've tried unselecting the status bar in Windows Explorer, but that gets rid of the proper status bar at the bottom.

Anyone know how I can do this please?

Thanks,

Click on Organize, then Layout, then uncheck Details pane.

Excellent, that is just what I wanted.

You don't happen to know how to get rid of the little arrows in the right hand pane do you? for example the one between the Name and Size column headings :) .

Many thanks for your help,
