Hi, I've spent the afternoon getting Windows 7 to look more like XP, and well I can only congratulate Classic Shell for the excellent job. I have been looking at a way to remove those Libraries and Favorites from the explorer navigation pane (like someone is saying here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=916 ). I found registry hacks that seem unstable, and after some more searching, discovered a little program on a german website: WENPCFG and thought I'd share. The link is at the end of this page, the pdf is in english: http://www.s-inn.de/blog/post/remove-Li ... -pane.aspx It seems to look good so far. Anyone else tried it? Any stability or display issue? |

You can also use Winaero's "This PC Tweaker" to hide items from navigation pane: http://winaero.com/comment.php?comment.news.213 Disclaimer: Third party software recommendations are only for your convenience. Classic Shell bears no responsibility whatsoever for them. |

I removed Favourites and Libraries using: http://www.askvg.com/how-to-remove-favorites-from-windows-7-explorers-navigation-pane/ http://www.askvg.com/how-to-remove-libraries-from-windows-7-explorers-navigation-pane/ I've not had a problem with these registry changes. Are these the same as those you found? Hope this helps, Regards, |
