Hello,

at first I have to excuse for my bad english language.

Some time ago I have found CLASSIC SHELL so I have downloaded and installed it. I was very excited about the possibilities because all versions of Windows which follows version XP could not satisfied me in many views (especially start menu handling and Explorer).

But I have a problem and hope someone can help me:

On a Desktop-PC I have installed 2 operating systems (Windows 7 and Windows 8) on different physical harddisks. The user programs on both systems are identical too. After installing CLASSIC SHELL on both systems I did not have any problems with Windows 8. But during working with Windows 7 the Explorer stops and reports that he has to start again. And after a while the Explorer really stopped and started automatically. Sure it causes no error but after a short time the same procedure again and again. It sucks very much and there is no possibility for real working.

Any idea for a solution?

Hope for a helping hand and thank you in advance.

... by the way: after deinstalling of Classic Shell the Explorer works normal

Explorer restarting means it's crashing. See this article, How to capture crash dumps: http://www.classicshell.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6. After downloading it and running procdump -e explorer.exe, try to crash Explorer and upload a few dumps here in compressed ZIP format.

Please update to the latest beta version 3.9.3. It is quite stable.
