Hey folks, I've recently reinstalled my win8.1(64bit) system and got some weird issue: If I open explorer window(say, windows folder), the window is opened in the same place as before(the x,y position), but if I'm trying to open another explorer window it's opened in a little bit right-down away from the saved x,y(as the first window - with windows folder). This wasn't like this before and I'm rly not sure it's the Classic Shell thing, but it could be. Anyway, if u got any idea how to resolve this, so the new windows will open the same place as the first one, I would rly appreciate it!

Explorer window position is not affected by Classic Shell. It is something else on your PC.

Windows XP and Vista remembered individual Explorer folder sizes and positions.

Starting with Windows 7, Explorer windows do not remember individual folder window sizes and positions. Each folder window shares the same size, and their position cascades (the next one appears slightly below and to the right of the previous one) as more windows are opened.

If you maximize one window and close it or resize it to a big enough size such that it has no room to cascade, all Explorer windows will open maximized or at that specific size.

There was a program for Windows 7 called ShellFolderFix: http://www.sevenforums.com/free-develop ... -size.html that tried to save Explorer window positions and size. I haven't tried it on Windows 8. Maybe it will work for you.
