At first the classic menu loaded fine. After i turned off a few items i did not want to show each time i reboot Windows 8 comes up with the Metro Start then after a few seconds classic menu kick in. Why? It is quite annoying ...........

Check if the Classic Shell service is set to 'Automatic' in Services.msc. This service skips the Metro screen and starts Classic Start Menu on Windows 8. If it got disabled, then Metro may not get skipped. The next major version of Classic Shell will use another technique to skip Metro. |
