Hello,

I find this free program, probably one of the best programs for Windows 8 that there is, and the fact that is free, is awsome. Skip metro on boot and deactivate active corners and the obvious Start button are GREAT!

I am thinking on how this program could be improved, and I'm thinking of 2 other programs that I use regularly, the shutdown timer, and alarm clock. Maybe if it's not that hard, on shutdown options to have a Timed Shutdown, were you can set the time, and ofc the posibility to cancel, and somewhere to put a simple alarm clock, where you can specify the sound.

Anyway even without those, the program is nice, and I'm more then satisfied with it. Just maybe, 1 "request" to those who are handy at image proccesing, if someone can make a star trek oriented start button would be nice, maybe with the united federation of planets logo, or a simple one, dosen't matter. I tried myself, but It looks awful.

That's all, again, thanks for developing this great program.

Hmm yes, a timer for Shutdown actions is a great idea. Windows actually has the built-in functionality partially for some of it which you can call by creating a custom item in CSM which points to shutdown.exe but I guess being able to specify the time in a dialog so that the Start Menu sends that value to shutdown.exe would be nice in a future version of the Start Menu (although no promises).

For the time being, you can create a custom item with the target:
shutdown -s -t 601 (Shutdown)
shutdown -r -t 601 (Restart)
shutdown -a (Cancel the timed Shutdown action)

If the time is greater than 10 minutes (601 seconds or more), Windows shows a balloon notification. If it's less than 10 mins, then Windows shows a dialog. Our forum member, Tenzen has a tutorial on how to add a timed shutdown item to the Start Menu: http://www.classicshell.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=281

But unfortunately, the -t parameter of shutdown.exe doesn't work for Log off or Hibernate. Also, for Sleep, shutdown.exe cannot be used. So in the future, such a feature is a good idea. I have seen another Start Menu replacement, Start Menu X has this feature.
