Post subject:  How do I get the Start Menu settings to work?
I installed the software and restarted the computer. I went to the (stupid Win8) Start page and selected Start Menu settings from the "apps." I tried this many times, but nothing happens. Nothing runs. How do I get the software to work?

I'm answering my own question here, in case it happens to anyone else. I didn't download the latest update for the software, because it said it was taking something away, and I didn't know whether that was a good or bad thing. So I figured I'd try it out first and then update it to the latest version. Apparently the older version doesn't work anymore. Once I installed the latest version, it worked.
