I assume you checked 'enable menu glass' in the settings? type 'glass' into the searchbox and all relevant settings should pop up |

Trying to get an exact match would be difficult and Classic Shell is not being developed anymore. Besides what Jcee mentioned, here is more info below. On Windows 7 OS in the "Window Color and Appearance", the color intensity feature seems to alter transparency as well as color boost. So each time a theme is changed, or one of the color swatch boxes is picked, the color intensity changes. I don't think Classic Shell menu skins can change transparency dynamically to match that. It looks like Ivo put in trackers to auto adjust "Menu glass intensity" (color boost), and "Menu color blending"(white amount) in the "Menu Look" tab of CSM settings. Options that one can do? Pick a different skin with better matching transparency Adjust the color intensity slider button in Win 7 to get a better balance between menu and taskbar Override "Menu glass color" to match up color tint, saturation, and brightness Manually adjust "Menu glass intensity" and "Menu color blending" Also can make your own skin without a gradient, using a color mask 255/255 red (#FF0000) with bitmap rgb 000/255(#000000) and alpha 127/255 None of the above recommendations will work to match all the time, only a rough approximation. |

Hi delicacy I downloaded your skin and was looking at it. I don't want to do anything yet, because I don't have enough information from you. It's a very old opaque skin that copies the silver color Windows 7 basic version. It does not have split buttons. Would need to be updated. I'm not sure what version of CSM you have, but later updated versions have a similar skin called Windows Aero (classic 1/2) The color is more saturated. What I could do is increase the color mask to the maximum at the top and bottom, and then you can go to the "Menu Look" tab in CSM settings, check the box for "Override glass color" and enter D77701 in the "Menu glass color" rectangle area. That will make the menu have your special blue color. This all falls apart if you are using a very old CSM version that does not have Override glass color option. If that is the case I would have to make a real always blue menu. I'm busy right now, will check back on this site tonight. See if you can find the Windows Aero skin (the one I'm looking at says 2009-2017 date), and let me know if it works correctly, and let me know CSM version you use as well. note If you just want an opaque menu, it should be easier to match up than transparent. Thanks. Update: I modded the newer Windows Aero skin. I only added some of your font text, added opaque menu option that has 255 max color on bottom and top of color mask. Matching color works with opaque taskbar setting and opaque skin setting, along with menu glass override color settings. See picture. I gave up on modding menu transparency. It is very difficult to have glass menu and glass taskbar match. It is because the taskbar can not be 100% overridden. There is still Windows 7 color that mixes in on the taskbar. The only thing to do is set taskbar to 50% opacity with matching menu color, then try and adjust the Windows7 color settings in "Window Color and Appearance" It can be matched up after 5 minutes of twiddling the sliders. Too much of a hassle. This skin is only good on opaque CSM settings to match up taskbar and menu with override color. Is actually worse than the original skin when not in color override settings. Sorry. That's all I can do.

I don't know, i don't think i'm near but i could be nearer than what i could be with my own knowledge.. D77701 89 1 Here is my final rgb of taskbar.. i had to change it because of stupid white lines appearing at the bottom of all tabs.. & the only win10 for win7 i could find without that line has that rgb below.. 25 83 127 see if you can change the menu glass color to my new rgb Juniper. Appart from that, i'm facing a final issue i don't know how to fix & that appears in most of all skins found at deviantart.. when i open firefox history, my desktop appears & the titlebar skin breaks at the historybar level.. I'll send you the skin, maybe you can fix it from there.. upload |

ugh, this new skin is disgusting, it shows more incoherences than the first one with stupid white lines by mare-m forget my new rgb I reported the issue about history bar on firefox to mare-m a week ago, he doesn't respond, maybe i should return to an idiotic classic skin by windows7 i i would have loved is mare-m latest skin, the 5th in his package, without tabs white lines & history bar breaking titlebar skin.. but i actually can't unless you have the knowledge to fix that Juniper, i'll give up skinning & return to my shit grey color. |

It's too bad you are having so many problems. I did not encounter any problems like that, because I don't use Windows themes anymore. They always screw something up, including browsers. I'm surprised. Windows 7 is usually quite stable, and themers should have worked out all their bugs by now. Windows 8/10 changes too much. I don't have time to change over to old Win 7 hard drive, but I know using CSM version 4.3.1 works ok. Here is a screenshot of Windows Aero Opaque Mod.skin on Windows 10 with your new color. If you did not know, if you input a hex color into the box it has to be bgr not rgb Here I switched to Open Shell ver 4.4.131 The bottom of the menu and taskbar match exactly r25,g83,b127 Works for me. Make it pink if you want. Will still match. How do you like the optional button I put for the second column. I borrowed the taskbar button from Aero msstyles dll

what you do is not working on windows 7, i get a different color, but since neither the author of the skin neither you can fix the history issue breaking the titlebar, i cannot use it anymore. |

Apart from your mare-m windows theme from overriding something, sometimes, it's the simplest of settings that can send one in circles for hours. Besides picking the correct skin, selecting opaque menu option, Menu override glass color 7F5319 /Menu glass intensity 100 /Menu color blending 0 settings, there is one setting in the Windows 7 "Window Color and Appearance" settings window that may have got turned off by your theme. It is the check box named "Enable transparency". Sometimes it might change the color a little when turned off. Anyway, I made a simpler skin for you to eliminate all those settings. It is only one opaque color burnt into the menu bitmaps. Its color won't change no matter what you do. It has no glass capability, so no CSM/Win7 glass color settings can change it. It's called Aero Opaque DARK BLUE ONLY GLASS DISABLED .skin It can work on CSM version as low as 4.2.6 It's in the attached zip Good luck and Goodbye:) And no I don't have knowledge of title bar
