As we know Ivo the founder of Classic Shell stopped development on this project, he would like to keep the brand name as his, since he created all of it. For the new pure open source project, which will be maintained by community on Github, we need to think of a new name for it. IMO Classic shell should remain classic shell, regardless of owner, unless a radical direction change occurs..., or there is a divergence (2 people decide to take the source in separate directions) If Someone is looking for classic shell on the latest version of Windows 10 (after the current version breaks) They should find it... Even if the new creator adds a bunch of things, unless they removed most of the core components, that user should still be able to make a menu very similar to what he had previously on the new version..., and who knows he may like the new features |
