so i have been using classic shell for quite some time now for all my clients, but of course when i want to add it to my laptop it is failing. I upgraded my windows 7 pro 64 bit to windows 10 then installed classic shell, now what happens if classic shell is running is that my screen just flashes every few seconds. can't open anything because it will close in matter of secs. I have never had an install fail, and i have done dozens. If i close classic shell from taskmgr then it's all back to normal, what should i check or turn off/on. The laptop is an HP Pavilion g7-1260us has 4gb ram and 600gb drive and an I3 cpu. What to do? |

It looks like Explorer.exe might be crashing. If you can capture a crash dump as per these instructions, it might reveal why it's crashing: www.classicshell.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6 |
