Hi

I'm on Win 10 and have always used Classic Shell.

I did the normal and put all my music programs together, did the same with my malware, antivirus and VPN etc so every program is in order of what they are Music, Video, General and all the programs I don't use that are services and notepad etc I put in one called Maintenance.

I've run the pc for a few days no problem, and yet tonight turned it on and ALL the maintenance programs are missing. All the printer programs gone, all device manager, services, events viewer. All Gone

Can anyone shed any light on this please?

How did you put the programs together? Did you create folders and moved the shortcuts?
Is it possible that those folders were user-specific and now you are logged in as another user?

They were in several other lists and I moved them into just the one. No I haven't changed usernames. Using the same one I've always had.

I am still not sure what you mean by "lists". Are they folders that contain shortcuts?

Yes, like on windows 7 where you have START>PROGRAMS>DEFRAG

It is all the defrag and services etc that have gone from a folder I named Maintenance

You can be sure that Classic Start Menu does not mess around with shortcuts inside Start -> Programs. Some other app might have deleted them.
