Apologies if this has been asked. I didn't see an original post that matched my needs but would appreciate a link if one exists.

I want to deploy a custom start button to a few 8.1 users using AD GPOs.

I've installed the policy definitions and they're showing correctly in my central store.

Other settings are applying correctly, just not this start button image.
I have enabled:
Replace Start Button, with box checked
Menu Style, Windows 7
Button Look, set to custom button
Button Image, with the path specified to the machine's local path for a windows 8 button image I found here (http://www.classicshell.net/forum/viewtopic.php? f=5&t=853) and saved into the program folder for classic shell (I've tried this with and without quotes)

The start button isn't changing from the little shell icon. I see that the image path has been applied correctly and shows itself under Classic Shell's settings, but it's just not using the image I've pointed to.

Are there more GPOs to enable that I'm overlooking?

If you are using double quotes in the path for the button image policy setting, remove them. Other than that, I can't think of anything that could go wrong in the configuration. And of course, the Start menu will have to be restarted or the Windows user session refreshed but that's true about all policy settings.
