I use the Classic Start Menu with Windows 7 style. When you start the menu, the left column shows the recently used programs. One can delete these one by one (right-click and then "Remove from this list"). However, I'd like to clean the entire left column in one go. One reason is that I often use CCleaner, which under Windows 7 also cleared this list. CCleaner can clean up entire directories, so if somebody can tell me in which directory these recently used programs are stored, I'm happy. But any other way to clean the list in one go is fine as well. Who can help me? Thanks! |

To clean the list, disable the Windows setting to track programs in the start menu, then enable it. |

Thanks! That works. Do you know if there is also a way in which I can have CCleaner clear this list? I googled it and according to some sites this program list for the native Win 10 start menu is stored in %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent Items . However, this folder is completely empty on my computer. |
