BTW, the next version of Classic Shell will have a dedicated setting to hide the Apps menu. However I don't have a release date yet.

Go to the Customize Start Menu tab in the settings and delete the AppsMenu item. |

Hi I understand this is old, but can you point to the Group Policy Object line that would remove the "Apps" folder? |
