I downloaded classic start a couple of months ago. I love it
it has made transition much easier
however- regularly the software moves from apps screen to classic screen - just as I move the mouse
Often happens when working quickly
I can just push teh windows symbol button to get back to screen I was working on
but this happens at least a dozen times a day and getting tiresome
Is there a solution to minimize or eliminate this annoyance?
Or is it just windows 8 being buggy?

Randy

There is a swipe gesture on the left edge that moves to the previous app. Is it possible you are triggering it either with the mouse or by hitting a touchpad with your hand?

There might be an option in your Mouse Control Panel to turn off the edge swipe from left which Ivo mentioned.

I wish it was as simple as when a do one thing - it causes the reaction, but it's unpredictable.
It happens when touching the mouse and usually when moving fast or when the computer feels like it is thinking or acting slowly
but my pointer can be anywhere on the screen and I cannot duplicate it by touching the touchscreen
Thanks for your input and help

Also- I looked under control panel/mouse and control panel/pointer- I changed some speeds- so we'll see if that works.

any other ideas are welcome.

Carpe Diem,
Randy

There is also a setting in Windows 8's "PC Settings" (Modern Control Panel) which you can try changing. See here: http://superuser.com/questions/494705/m ... pad-laptop
