Hi,

I see that it is possible to change the Windows 10 taskbar color via Classic Start Menu.

How is that being done? Is that also possibly natively in Windows 10?

I only see a "Show color on Start, taskbar and action center" option in Windows 10. But there's no option to only change the taskbar color.

Is it possible to change the taskbar color only in Windows 10? Maybe via the registry?

How does Classic Start Menu do it?

Regards

Classic Shell uses an API but you can change color in this way too: http://winaero.com/blog/how-to-change-t ... indows-10/

Sorry, maybe I am missing something, but this does not seem to answer my question.

Yes, as already mentioned in the first post, there's an option to "Show color on Start, taskbar and action center".

But this will make the color show up everywhere... (start+taskbar+action center)

But how do you change the color on the taskbar only, without affecting the rest?

Obviously Classic Start Menu allows to do this, but is it also possible to do this natively in Windows 10?

Would be nice if someone could elaborate on this one.

Regards

It was possible by Registry edits in pre-release builds of Windows 10: http://winaero.com/blog/windows-10-diff ... r-taskbar/ but Microsoft removed it in RTM. I haven't tested if it works in Windows 10 Redstone 1 14393 build which is its final build. You could try and let me know if it works. But now I think it requires Classic Shell running to override the taskbar color.
