OK. So I was setting up a new Windows 8 install for a client, and they DO NOT like the Windows 8 layout at all, thus the use for Classic Shell. I thought to keep from accidently opening a Windows 8 app (in the Apps folder) and lunching the Windows 8 Start Menu, I just deleted all the apps in the Apps folder... yes deleted. I've learned the hard way that this was a bad idea, as now I cannot go into User Accounts and add new user profiles, since it wants to use the Windows 8 user account app. What do I need to do to get these all back?? And when/if I can get them back, how can I simply hide them from the Classic Shell Start Menu??

Edit: Figured it out... SFC /SCANNOW will fix the issue.

:)

As of version 4.0.2, there is a setting "Hide app shortcuts" to hide the Modern apps from the All Programs menu. Do not delete those shortcuts. You can also choose to hide the Apps folder completely.
