I would like to ask the "Author" this question but I am not sure where or how so here it goes...

On 4 pc's with at least Win8.1 or Win10, the SLEEP menu button in Classic Shell is so much FASTER than:
- windows sleep button
- handmade shortcuts
- keyboard hardware sleep button
THIS IS GOOD!

For example, the stock windows sleep button may take 6secs or more whereas Classic Shell gets my system to sleep in well under 2secs.

MY QUESTION
Is there a code I can use to put into a desktop shortcut that will "act like" or "trigger" the Classic Shell sleep command?

Why do you care how fast it is? Just press the button and walk away :)

But yes, for the next version I am considering something like that. Basically a way to execute some start menu commands from the command line.

Thank you Ivo,
...for your quick response.
The command line idea sounds terrific.

To answer your question, there are several reasons...
- because I have OCD :D

- it would be great to assign the sleep command C.S. to my Logitech keyboard or my True Launch Bar which would mean 1 single click/press. I
do so much pc work over the course of a day, that I try to optimize my tools and workflow.

- lastly, over the past several years, I have kept running into sudden "sleep" issues with several of my PCs at home.
Keep in mind, that I repair PCs for half my living, and we're talking about win7-10 even with quasi fresh installs.
I have always been able to resolve the issues. But when I use C.S. to put the pc's into sleep, I can have the piece of mind
that they are indeed sleeping and not messed up again before I walk away. Know what I mean? In my testing, I was blown away
with how fast a pc will go into sleep when using C.S.

C.S. is brilliant and a life saver BTW, and I tell everyone I know about it.
